This one is almost a 3 star for me. There are a few things I look for in a series - interesting worldbuilding, relationships between characters, and progression in a character (if the character stays the same no matter what has happened, I lose interest).I liked the way that the fae function in this world and I saw a lot of potential for future books. The downside was I knew who the bad guy was very early on, and although I get why October was trying to numb herself to everything, I was missing a connection to the character. I could sympathize, but that was more because of what we were told she lost more than from reading her thoughts and emotions. It picked up near the end, but I hope there is more progression in the next book.
