This book drew me in and kept my attention until the end. I would have preferred to get more details on Avalon, but while it would have been nice to have more details on some of the supporting characters, the unknown adds some questions to be answered in later books. I liked that we're learning about Avalon and Dana's place in it right alongside Dana. Her reactions are believable, and if some details are sketchy, it's because she's still figuring things out herself. In other hands this might make for a frustrating read, but I felt that Jenna Black did a great job. Looking forward to book 2.
