I know I am going to have to come back to this review later - that I won't be able to do it justice right now.A few thoughts after finishing: this is a really, really good series. I need to get the next book ASAP. There are few series out there where I NEED to have the next one, and this is one of them.Chess's life is seriously messed up, and it doesn't get any better. The few good things in her life are in danger, and I can't even talk about them because it would be a spoiler and I don't want to spoil this for anyone. Lets just say the decisions Chess made in book 1 come back to haunt her.This series goes into some dark places, and in less able hands I would be sick of the MC by now, but Kane has created a character that I want to root for, even when I am cringing over what she is doing. The other characters are memorable as well, and the world building is fantastic.Can't wait for more.
