Legacies (Shadow Grail Series #1)
Legacies is another magical boarding school book, incorporating magicians, shadowy killers, demons, and the Wild Hunt. I really enjoyed this for several reasons. 1. The story flowed well, the action moved things along, and it felt like something was always happening. A neat feat in a set-the-stage book 1 of a series. 2. I liked the characters - the core group of friends was fun to read about, and, as a change, there was no love triangle. Really, there was hardly any romance at all. It was refreshing that in the midst of fighting an unknown enemy, the teenagers were able to keep their hormones in check. 3. The story had an ending that was satisfying yet still left plenty of room for more in the series. I'll be looking forward to the next one.
