I've been going back over this series and thinking about my gut reaction (being emotionally involved in the story) vs my overall enjoyment of the series. There were times reading this that I wanted to scream - but all throughout I deeply cared about what happened to the characters, and that makes all the difference. Many parts of this book made me angry. So, even though I was grinding my teeth during parts of this (I didn't have as much fun with this one as the others), I still had to finish it, and I will still be reading the next one.Frost has made me love Cat and Bones together so much that the forced separation in this one really pissed me off. And I do like that Cat and Bones aren't just living among rainbows and unicorns - they still challenge each other. And I'd never want them to be boring. I just want them fighting bad guys together. The Ghoul Voodoo Queen was very cool, though. I want to read more about her.
